Teacher: Kelly K. Walters teaches Visual Arts at the Mississippi School of the Arts in Brookhaven, Mississippi. Walters earned a Masters of Fine Arts degree from Mississippi College and a Bachelor of Fine arts in Art Education degree from the University of Southern Mississippi.

In her own work, Walters creates symbolic portraits that reveal the soul of the subject.  Combining symbolic expression and light, Kelly Walters strives to portray visually her physical and mental experiences of life.  She often encourages viewers to interact with her artwork by allowing the viewer to manipulate the light source for the painting.  This reveals hidden areas of the artwork that were not previously visible.
