The Mississippi Museum of Art, the Ulysses S. Grant Presidential Library, and the Mississippi State University Department of Curriculum, Instruction, and Special Education will present an institute for history and social studies teachers on teaching history in Mississippi. The day-long workshop will feature sessions on using technology in the classroom and taking advantage of online and physical resources for teaching history in Mississippi, as well as discussions on incorporating local resources like, Mississippi historical sites and museums, into the curriculum. In addition, there will be hands-on activities that will allow educators to collaborate with and learn from peers. Lunch will be available for purchase at the Palette Cafe.
