Class Description: We all have our story to tell, so let’s be sure to tell it! In this week’s class, participants will work with 2D and 3D media to share their own story while learning about notable Mississippi artists in Picturing Mississippi. Together, this class will celebrate identity and have a space to share their own narrative. Cost: $250. Lunch is optional.
Teacher: Cassandre Connolly, a native New Yorker, moved to Jackson, Mississippi, in 2015 with Teach For America. For the past three years, she has acted as the Art Teacher at Siwell Middle School, and was awarded Teacher of the Year 2016-2017. Ms. Connolly has been working with the Mississippi Museum of Art since 2016, and has experience teaching at the Museum School. Prior to moving to Mississippi, Ms. Connolly spearheaded the Art Department at an international middle/high school for five years.
No refunds within 30 days of class start date. Museum reserves right to cancel class 10 days prior if minimum student registration is not met. In the event of cancellation, tuition will be fully refunded.
