What’s included in this class?

-Two hours of writing instruction for caregivers, using gentle prompts to connect to your creative expression

-Practical tips for incorporating writing as a source of presence, inspiration, and energy in the role of mothering

-Participation in a supportive community of fellow caregivers for anyone interested in writing. All experience levels welcome and encouraged

 

AND

 

-Two hours of art making and creative play led by Museum educators, for up to two children per participant between 4 and 10 years old.

 

About the instructor

Catherine Simone Gray is an author and educator who has spent over a decade guiding writers of all ages. Catherine’s writings on motherhood on her blog Unsilenced Woman have been shared by La Leche League International, International Cesarean Awareness Network, and ImprovingBirth. Her memoir Proud Flesh: A Story of Motherhood, Intimate Violence, and Pleasure will be published in spring 2025. She holds a BA from Millsaps College, an MA in curriculum and instruction from the University of Mississippi, and has trained at Columbia University’s Writing Project.
